The Problem We Solve
In the era of LLMs, localization is easier but still demands human oversight for accuracy and coherence.
The absence of a Translation Memory
You need a place to store your terms and vocabulary, define how to translate them into target languages, or simply keep a word the same across all languages.
However, there is no built-in tool to help you create and manage a translation memory.
L10nGenie uses a table-based format to visualize and help you manage your translation memory easily and effortlessly. This is an example of translation memory.

For example, when you translate the term

.Try searching for the two terms above using Google Images; it’s very clear where the mistake lies. By adding the correct translation to the translation memory, you can avoid this error in the future.
Bulk Translations
When you want to perform a batch translation by dragging a language file containing all the keys that need translation into a GPT chat session, you need to write a complex prompt to specify what you need, how it should be translated, and provide translation memory context. Crafting a complete and comprehensive prompt like that is quite challenging, and there’s no guarantee everything will work as desired, nor can it be reused. It's also difficult to provide context for each key.
Translating entire files at once often leads to numerous errors, especially with frequently used terms being mistranslated.
